What is the available options to make the printout looks finer especially tints. So far, we find 230lpi being the max; is there any other choice that shows even finer results such as FM screening or any dotless look choices? why it's default set at 175lpi? Is it because finer screen rule may yield less stable result? THANKS FOR THE COACH.

Because 175lpi is middle of the road. You get more prominent banding at higher screen levels. ie, pictures looks better, solids and gradients can look a lot worse.

Hello Sherbert, Thanks for your sharing. I did a fresh Full Cal based on the linescreen and paper, the result came out better than expected. Things to share are: #1 it uses a special chain-dot like kind of screening, so you don't see the press like rosette pattern, but overall it does comparatively looks finer than 175lpi; #2 the linearity/eveness across the page in flat tint area still exhibit a small degree of grainness and banding...but when comparing side by side it does offer a "fineness" feel comparatively. As suggested by HP Indigo, it's fit for small photos but not for large area of even colors. BTW, do you have input on Indigo's accuracy on pantone? my case is CMYKOV? How to reduce delta-E, how to keep it stable and finally how to edit the color for reason of closer delta-E.
