Our PrintPlanet editorial sleuths and Neopost management met at Graph Expo for a Mach 6 demo and a discussion of various other points. We were truly impressed with the output of this compact workhorse. We had a live demonstration of full-color printed envelopes of several sizes & thicknesses, including a bubble pack–very impressive & high-quality.
Management told us the monthly duty cycle was generally in the 50-75K range, with print head life typically around 300K. We discussed a previous print head pricing increase and were told that Memjet had hit them with a rather steep increase after introduction. Although Neopost was able to absorb this increase for a time, they had to subsequently pass this along to users.
All-in-all, we came away from our meeting believing that management has the users’ interests at heart and is committed to providing first-class customer support.
