Velvet Nylon Film Lamination

Hoping to get some feedback from others who are using this material on books/catalogs. We have had a couple of projects recently which have been a challenge. One project was on a black catalog and we had problems with the material holding up. After a couple of weeks the soft touch/velvet part of the material was coming off of the laminate. The other project was on a lighter catalog and we had problems with it marking. Is anyone else having success with this material?

Not sure which brand material you're using, but we use D&K Super Stick scuff-free nylon matte film. While it's not branded as a velvet or soft touch finish, it does have a similar feel, but not as plush as a true velvet film. We never had a problem with the finish.

We have had good luck with scuff-resistant nylon laminates which has close to the same feel but the velvet/soft touch is what some of our customers want. The Cosmo film marks and scuffs easily and we have had issues with it not holding up for our customers.
