Plate transport boxes or carriers

Hi - anyone out there help?

Our press is in another part of the factory from the platesetter - at the moment we are using the cardboard boxes that the plates come in to transport the exposed plates to the press, but this is a little awkward and the boxes don't last very long?

Has anyone come across a carrier/box product that can be re-used?

Cheers

Take a look at this image from Nela. Something like this might suit your needs (or if you have a handy man, he could build you something?).

No Title

What size presses are you running, it shouldn't be too hard/expensive to make a protective sleeve that could easily be carried to and from the pressroom, see attached drawing. Adapt to your plate size and you could add stops at each end to prevent the plates from sliding out and or add weatherstripping to hold them inside if needed . . .

Chipboard - Double Thick - .080 - 32x40 Cut this down to the size you need 2 of them and tape them at the center on both sides. We have used this for years.
