cast or buffed coater blanket?

robb, most coaters are buffed, the reason is thickness consistency, a cast blanket has a variance of plus or minus .001" and buffed is .0005" as long as you are using a blanket designed for coating you should be okay, Trelleborg RC-3 and Flint Durapeel have done well for AQ as well as specialty coatings, with both roll and anilox. if I can be of any additional help let me know 714-325-1172

Thanks...I have also found that a buffed coater blanket also picks up less ink, in fact no ink. I had not thought about the consistency issue.
