Remove the ban from Turbotom.

I request the admin to remove the ban from Turbotom 1052.
He has always been a good contributor to the forum.

Good, I for one am glad that the Ban is only temporary, too much PC in this world and we should not try

to emulate - North Korea !

Regards, Alois

This was in response to complaints. The ban is temporary.

Why should you respond to complaints? That is a cop out used often. Have the complainers contributed more and honestly in the past to discussions?

Don't blame people who complain, for your action. Take responsibility yourself if you think it is needed.

Frankly I think banning people is done a bit too easily. I am banned from WTT comments and from the TAGA forum on Linkedin. I am guessing that someone didn't like what they were hearing from my posts. That's fine with me, since important issues are not discussed in these groups. They prefer "group think" where nothing really new or important is discussed.

If you are going to be banning people, do it for a serious reason and make it a permanent ban. Otherwise, maybe just let the group work it out. We are all grownups and we should be able to hear some views we don't agree with.

Which of these did the Turboto posting fail?

As one of the persons who took a position that Turbo disagreed with . . .

I don't think what he said should result in a ban . . I don't believe in political correctness

In this case though, I just feel sorry for him because he has apparently had such a bad employment experience throughout much of his life. I think that most printing company owners are not the ogres he was ranting about. Most shops are smaller than 20 people and the owner works hand in glove with the employees . . . the owner feeds the folder the bindery guy works the delivery . . . etc. etc. etc. Our crew is like our family and in some cases are better brothers than genetic brothers.

On the other hand . . . . . . . he apparently has never looked at the "owners/boss's" side of the equation the owners have an investment that ranges from a couple of 100,00 dollars to multi millions, all spent so that people like Tom can have a job. He doesn't know the stress of having X number of families depending on him to feed and cloth them, to make those payments every month even if he doesn't print one sheet of salable work. The building payments, the payroll taxes, government compliance costs, and the list goes on and on.

So Tom . . had I been in your shoes I would have quit my job and found one where I felt appreciated.

I suppose I should second what dabob says. I too disagree most heartily with turbo, but I don't think he should be banner either. It makes for interesting conversation and he wasn't spamming the board or anything.

I seriously doubt that he his employer is anything like what he says. Some of it is purely illogical, but at the same time I'm sure he believes it all. He strikes me as one of the people who think the world is out to get them. They justify their own failures and/or mediocrity and buoy their own self esteem by blaming those who do better and constantly reassuring themselves that the deck is stacked against them. I'd wager that if he moved to a new place, he'd be equally unhappy.

So let him back on the board. He probably needs the interaction and he does give us something to chat about.

Sounds like a union worker-oops that was below the belt, I'll keep the gloves up.

>Sounds like a union worker-oops that was below the belt, I'll keep the gloves up.
At the risk of getting banned judging from the management I see today most (99.9%) could use a good kick in the pants!
I just tried a new print vendor for products we couldn't produce, so I was a CASH ACCOUNT because, I like pay as I go. Well they lost my tax exempt form, took my payment when I picked up my jobs, then they billed my client directly for the jobs I already payed for, then they lost the second tax empt form I gave them so I gave them a third tax exempt form. To end the story three weeks after I gave them the third tax exempt form they called me because the invoices were payed short, the amount of the tax.
Go figure!

What does your post have to do with getting banned by management? The AP/AR clerk at some printer you used made a bunch of mistakes with a new account . . . whoop-de-do . . . I'm sure it was frustrating for you, but how is posting it here going to get you banned?

Let's not make a mountain out of a mole hill.

I haven't seen an official explanation, but read this thread:
http://printplanet.com/forum/press-...et-discussion/249354-to-chill-or-not-to-chill

Apparently somebody (not me as previously posted) complained.

I think the ban should be lifted. I'm also fairly certain that Turbotom is a complete tool.

He could have been an inspiration for an early RE:print:

So I read tuorbotoms post, if this is what got him banned someone needs help.

You should try being an idiot and working in the field with men that carry M16's.

I've seen so many BAD LEADERS in the last 40 years I can't count them or asses the damage they've done to the companies they ran, the employees and their families.

tuorbotom was banned because he completely took over a post with his unrelated rant that was completely off topic. The original poster was asking for solid information which was not forthcoming from turbo's posts . The place for philosophizing and ranting is in the lounge, not taking over someone else's post with a particular "pet peeve". His ban is now over.

No Title

Well, if they had any brains at all they would have ( and should have ) banned me years ago.
