There are a 2 main types of inkjet paper:
1. RC based
2. Paper based
assuming, of course, that you are referring to aqueous inkjet. Paper based stock can be coated or uncoated. Micro porous aqueous coatings are applied to paper before the conversion process.
RC based paper CANNOT be recycled. It has clay in it as well as petro-derived biproducts.
Paper based inlket substrates can, in theory, be recycled, but that also depends on what country you live in.
