Default Making separate lines of text in Illustrator one box

My question is, I open a pdf in Illustrator and when I do it makes blocks of type separate lines.
How do I merge them together so I can copy and paste it as one block of text?

    Thanks.

Maybe someone from Adobe will come along and give you an answer for this one

Select all the lines of text. Copy. Then paste with a type tool. This will not, however, maintain line breaks or leading.

If you just want the text (without formating) so that you can use it pasted somewhere else, save as from acrobat as plain text or text accessible.

Its a very nice and useful option.
