    Default Illustrator ruler showing

How do I get rulers to automatically show in every new document for Illustrator? I'm using CS3.

    Thanks

You know, I don't think you can in CS3. The closest thing I've seen is [this tip|http://creativebits.org/illustrator_...ment_profiles] but it involves using the horrible Welcome Screen. I'd rather just hit CMD+R instead.

I figured out how to do have the rulers show up on every document.
Open a new document, set it up the way you want it and save as a .ai into "New Document Profiles" folder on the hard drive. Then select your new document profile when you open new document.
