Default Indesign window view in XP

We have recently installed Indesign CS3 on Windows XP. When we open a window in Indesign (or Quark 7 as well) to select an image as example, the window always opens in list view in order of date modified. This forces us to change to detail view which is default set up as name. List has no order option. When we open the same window out of the application in the finder, it opens as detail view with name default view which is what we. Any thoughts as to what we need to do to get Quark and Indesign to default view windows in a view (either detail or List) that is ordered by name?

    Thanks

I have struggled with the same thing on Windows. I came across this app but never installed it. From what I could tell this "feature" required a 3rd party app, gotta love winders
