Default Illustrator keyboard shortcut

Does anybody know a keyboard shortcut in Illustrator for going from the type tool (while you're entering text) to the item tool (command a or v) without just typing a letter a or v?
Now I have to click on the item with the mouse, and thought there might be a shortcut that I don't know about.

Is it the Escape key? That's what it is in InDesign.

Makes sense! Thanks, I'll give that a try, might save someone from getting an extra a at the end of their paragraph, haha.

When you're on the type tool, hold down apple (not sure what key on the PC).... and your pointer will switch to the arrow and you can move your type.
Only catch is that when you let go of the apple key, you tool does switch back to the type tool, but you have to click on your text box to get back into text editing mode.

Nice list, however I did not see the escape one listed there. Can anyone verify that escape works with Illustrator? I'm not at work right now.

I just tried the escape key, Yes it does in fact work in Illustrator. I did it in CS3 if that makes any difference at all.

If you are in a text box, and are typing, then hit the escape key, It automatically switches to the selection tool and takes you out of the text box. It does keep that text box selected as if you were to click on the text box, but just deselect and your on your way
