setting up printers in CS5 . ..

I am trying to set up a printer to print to a postscript file using Adobe PDF 8 or 9 as a ppd and i am not getting to it . .. . probably a brain fade on friday but could use some help

Are you using Snow Leopard? The pdf printer doesn't work anymore. They recommend using export instead. You can still print to a pdf from some applications (just not most Adobe ones) using the OS-based pdf button in the print dialog box.
