update a packaged indesign file?

Say I have a packaged indesign file, its a job that was done before. Now the job is being slightly altered. Adding some new type and 1 new image. Is there a way to update the package with the new info rather then repackage the entire job?

This is with indesign CS5 on a Mac, OS 10.6.4

The only way I can think of is to just package that part of the job that has changed. If no images changed, repackage with that unchecked and combine the two. If just the InDesign file changed just save and replace it the packaged folder.
