    Default Acrobat Font issue

When trying to change type within a PDF, after the acrobat text took is selected, we receive this error message: "All or part of the selection has no available system font. You cannot add or delete text using the currently selected font"

We have Acrobat 9.0 a networked PC, also use CS4, Windows XP SP 3, Pitstop, Quite Imposing.
One problem font is Charlotte Book and Charlotte Bold, so I bought the font and still receive the same error. any suggestions?

The font in question has to be open to the system, via a font manager or in the system fonts folder. Is Charlotte Book or Charlotte Bold available to other applications? You say you bought the font, how/where did you install it?

Could be inconsistencies in the naming tables in the fonts. Was the PDF created on Mac or PC? You may have to go to same platform as it was created and find EXACTLY the same version of the font that was used in original.

That's why we have a version of acrobat with an old pitstop licence Think it is Acrobat 4 with pitstop 4 that letts you fix those, provided the font isn't subsetted.

If you have not yet ...
    quit Acrobat
    load the fonts
    restart Acrobat
