Default Cannot export a PDF in InDesign CS5

I just upgraded to CS5 and everytime I try to export a PDF, InDesign crashes. I do get the dialog box and settings, but after clicking export it crashes. I've seen a number of people with a similar issue, but no solutions have worked. Any ideas? Even a blank page crashes when exporting.

I have tried exporting using presets, by putting the InDesign file into a book, first exporting as an IDML, cleared preferences...

    This has been very frustrating.

    Default pdf crashing in CS5

I am having the same problem . . . I workaround it by creating hot folders with different settings in distiller and printing a .ps file to the hot folder . .. its not pretty but it works

Printing a postscript file and distilling will flatten all transparency. Have either of you trashed Indesign preferences yet?

Yes, I had reset preferences, that did not fix it. I got some feedback from Adobe and passed it onto my IT guy and he got it to work. Apparently there was a corrupt .dll file that he found and replaced. Now it works fine (so far).
