Acrobat / Pitstop / ????

If I have an 8.5 x 11 pdf and want the actual PDF to be centered on a NEW pdf that is 11 X 17 for example....can Acrobat Professional (10), or Pitstop (10...stand alone or server) do this?
If not, another software??
Need a cheap, FAST way of just banging out pdf from one size to a new size.

Acrobat Professional can do it - not sure about Reader or Standard.

Take the Crop tool and double-click anywhere on the page. In the dialog that comes up, look towards the bottom where it says Change Page Size and choose Tabloid. Hit OK and you're done!

(This is based on Acrobat 9).

edit - PitStop can also do it (and much more), but it ain't cheap if that is all you need it for.

Are you looking to automate this process for a high number of PDFs or are they few and far between?

Acrobat can be batched or you can make a preflight droplet that sets the page size.

I have looked at Acrobat. In the thumbnail, it looks like it is stretching the living crap out of it! I want the same size image put onto a "cavas" of 11 x 17
In answer to the question on how many - oh, probably 100 or so at a time? I have the time to do it manually if manually will take less than 30 seconds each.
I do own Pitstop and Pitstop Server
I am looking at QuiteImpose. That would definitely do it.

I know it's batchable, just can't think this hour, I'll get back after week end if u haven't solved it.
You may want to make sure you have added cropmarks first

Advanced > Document Processing > Batch Processing > New Sequence >
Select Command > Page / Crop Pages > Add > Edit etc.

Another option would be to use the combine document option to put all of the separate PDF files into a single doc, then use the crop command on all pages to expand the page size.

Yes, the thumbnail appears distorted but if you actually follow through and click OK you will see all is well.

Since you have PitStop Server, you can write an Action List that does what you need and assign it to a watched folder. Then, just copy the PDFs into the watched folder and Pitstop will run the Action List.

You are correct. The thumbnail DID appear distorted. However, when I pulled the trigger, again, you are correct. It did exactly what I needed.

You can do it in PitStop Pro by changing the media box. Or you can use Acrobat Pro's cropping tool to change the page size to 11x17 or something. When you do that it should be default center the existing media box in the new page.
