Preflight reporting

I have a WebApproval job flow in Apogee Prepress 6 that after a customer uploads a file it is automatically placed and processed to PrintDrive, where we release plates at a later time.
This customer works in the early AM and we print the job shortly after our "first shift" starts the same morning.
Management has deemed this customer does not need to see a proof of any kind.
A problem arose last week when a "corrupt font" stopped the job in its tracks.
Now I need to find a solution...
Has anyone tried or succeeded in doing the following;
A WebApproval job flow in Apogee Prepress 6 that after a customer uploads a file it is preflighted and the customer is notified that the PDF is OK or bad, then the job automatically places and processes so it is waiting in PrintDrive.
I have the automation working but the preflight reporting is not.
Any ideas would be great.

Online Job submission
You might take a look at our TaskForce workflow. It provides an online method for clients to upload files using a nice Java upload tool. The form based Job Ticketing is used by the Production Assistant tool to route jobs to various workflow folders with auto job numbering. Your current preflighting can then process the jobs and put failed reports to a folder where TaskForce can pick them up and post them back to the job and notify the customer their job has a preflight failure.
Successful jobs can be ripped to our I-Zoom format and posted back to the job to give the customer a high resolution online zoomable proof.
This system would give you both solutions you are looking for!
All of this is comes in one simple installer and you are welcome to try it free.

We don't have portal, but I think there is a checkbox to include preflight report in the customer creation dialouge in Apogee system.

Have owned AGFA for a while.
Looking for advice, not looking to switch workflow software!
