For the Agfa Sherpa 2 waste tank, we cleaned ours out and got rid of padding. Then we stuffed it with regular shop rags, and it works fine, no problems with the chip. Then we just have to replace the rags maybe once a year. On the Sherpa, when it gives us the message that the tank is full, we just lie to the machine, and it keeps on working.
Hope this helps, if not, I know of a third party that makes and sells the waste tanks.

Hi Sev,

My apologies, I should have mentioned this in my original post.

The waste ink tank itself has developed a network of cracks and it now leaks. We are attempting to repair it by sealing the cracks but I thought I would ask if anyone had one.
