Akash,
Rubber will not harm your anilox rolls, as a matter of fact, many printers still use rubber plates to print jobs. The rubber tiretrack I suggested you will print also, it needs to sit within the substrate and the resulting printed line will need to be trimmed out. Allow enough trim space to do so. As far as the pump is concerned, a defective pump that will pump in a pulsating manner will create an ink starvation between the “peaks” of the pulse. This needs to be fixed if it is the case. The dot gain in flexo is variable. Every plate thickness, mounting tape, substrate, ink visco, will create its own specific dot gain. You need to fingerprint your printing condition and have prepress adjust press curves according to the specific printing conditions you are having.
