    Default matching a profile

    Hi,

I have a standard FOGRA 39 profile and I have to match it with a profile they use as a proof for a flexo press.

What is the best way to achieve it? Once I heard the term "link profile" does it has something to do with this? Or better to run a proof with the profile to match and then read the values and build a profile?

    Thanks!
    Marcello

Are you going to make proofs or is this for a press run? The "link profile" whiled attempting to make one thing print like another leaves a lot to be desired. You may find that adjusting a flex profile to VISUALLY represent the output of the FOGRA 39 profile will be better. Depending on the flex press your dot gain and resolution could complicate a "link profile" whiled visual manipulation of the flex profile will be easier.
Either way, it will not be a "quick fix"it will take sow effort.
