    Lightbulb Using custom color profiles

How many people use the default color profiles for their Color Presses?

I find that our best color and matching comes from tweaking the default profiles that came with the CWS (command work station) for our Xerox 700.

    Default

My experience is that people either use nothing but default profiles or build brand new profiles for all their medias because the think they can do it better.

When it comes to default inkjet profiles there are a few things to consider:
Ink limits are set by the ink supplier. ( a high ink limit may be in their best interest because the sell ink for a living )
However lowering the ink limit may cause certain problems though. Sometimes the ink limit is high because it helps compensate for the limitation of the printhead at a certain speed.

But to optain a really good result you should have somebody who really knows profiling to custom build some on your own machine using your media ect.
