    Default i1 Profiler

In the data analysis area when I drag the Gracol 2006 Coated 1.mxf to a data set at the bottom of the window I get the following message pop up.

    "i1Profiler recommends XRGA color measurements.

The colors you want to import cannot be converted to XRGA because spectral data is not available.

    Continue to import as GMDI?"

Anyone know why? This is a supplied file with Profiler isn't it, and it doesn't come up when they do that in the training video. Is there a setting or something I need to change?

    Thanks

It's because the GRACoL data set isn't spectral and isn't CXF data......the GRACoL data set is L*a*b* measurements. iProfiler is just letting you know that. It will likely do this with ANY legacy data sets but it's nothing to really worry about. Only thing is, since the data is not spectral, I don't believe you'll be able to do anything in the "Lighting" asset which is really no big deal if you're building profiles for the graphic arts (standard lighting conditions).
