    Default Density standard

    HI to All,

I don’t know how many times this topic has discussed on this forum. So I put new thread.
I used densitometer in that I found different reading on different filter.
I am bit confuse which density standard/filter should I follow.
I found some information on net in this they specified standards are use as per geographical location. Like ISO E use for Europe.

I want to know what is difference in ANSI E/ T/ I and DIN/DIN NB standards?

What is reason they divide as per geographical location? Is this related to there RAW material?

Status T / ANSI T: wide band color reflection densitometer response, used mainly in United States

Status E / DIN: wide band color reflection densitometer response, used mainly in Europe, main difference to Status T: higher values for yellow

Status I / SPI, DIN NB: narrow band densitometer responses, rarely used

The main responses are Status E (polarized) and Status T (unpolarized).
Related standards are: ANSI PH2.18, DIN 16536

AFAIK the geographic difference is due to different philosophy not raw materials.

    best, gordo
