    Default EFI XF Cantone linearization

    HI

I am evaluating RFI colorproof RIP, and trying to linearize Epson 3880 with Ilford Fibre silk paper using Cantone and Halftone hoping for maximum Gamut for this type of paper, this is not inteded for the press,

    few questions

    1) Whilst EFI does perform ink limiting on both, does EFI use the built in driver for Cantone for ink limiting

    2) what is the ideal LCH or density for Cantone/Halftone, or am I best having an initial setting of 100% and let the software/measurement work it out.

3)Is Dot Gain necessary if not going to press, should this be 0 or the recomended 8 for CMYK.

Thanks in advance and apologies if asked before

first.. which one are u using ?? contone or HT ??

its either or! contone using the internal screening and limits.. HT uses EFI

for fineart... you will prob get better screening with CT..! maybe a little larger gamut IF you know what to do with HT!

I would prob use CT with EFI in ur case as it is a "standard" paper, too..

i wont limit the CT within EFI as well but keep the printers ink settings.
    3) doesnt matter.. leave standard
