Application of G7 on Proofers

At present we have 8 Canon IPF650 proofers for newspaper production plant. We are using BlackMagic (Serendipity) for proofers workflow and linearize the proofer by the BlackMagic target. Does any one apply G7 test target to linearize proofers operated by the BlackMagic software?

I don't think any one applied G7 color bar in newspaper industry.

What are you hoping to accomplish? Black Magic has it's own linearization procedure that is, in my opinion, pretty effective. There's no real benefit I can see to trying to perform a gray-balance calibration on an inkjet proofer. Other devices that use donor sheets, or maybe even on an Indigo, I can see a benefit to using G7 methods on.
