Default Hurst Smartplate + KM c6500 = pattern issue

Having a very strange problem that I've never seen before on a laser plate.

Imaging some test plates (Hurst SmartPlate IO) on a Konica-Minolta c6500 and I'm getting a repeating pattern of small dots on the impressions off the press. Couldn't see the dots on the imaged plate but once the ink rollers drop, there they are.

I've atttached a scan of the pattern in hopes that someone will recognize it.

This is the first time I've imaged these plates on a KM machine but have used them for years with HPs and Xerox. Never once have I seen this issue so I'm assuming it has something to do with the KM. Maybe toner scatter on a belt pattern?

I do have emails out to both KM and Hurst but while waiting for their service departments to get back I thought I may as well see if anyone here might know off-hand what this might be. Funny thing is, I'm hoping it's something dumb that's an easy fix. =)

Any and all help appreciated. Thank you.

I think these are security dots. Usually they are visible only when you print full colour. There is plenty of threads about this subject on this forum.
I had the same issue on a Xerox. Try to print your plates grayscale, that should solve the problem.

Hi, I'm an idiot who can't remember to set files to the proper color profile before imaging.

I had run three test plates, the other two are a-ok. I r dumb.

    Thanks!
