AGFA Avalon Imaging Competitors Plates?

Anyone using an Avalon N setter, but not using Agfa plates?
If yes, what plates?
I've been told that as long as the laser can handle it, you can use any competitors plates with the same rating: 830 nm Thermal.

The information you have is correct - the Avalon will image competitors thermal plates. NOte that the avalon is a 're-badged' Screen machine (also rebadged by fuji, and previously Heidelberg).

I believe Kodak has also re-badged it as well.

Had a meeting with Kodak today - they say their boxes are not Screen.
We are looking at Avalon running Azura TS.
Any thoughts?

We've been running the AzuraTS plate on an Avalon since January and it is a very nice setup. We are very pleased.
