I don't know if you'll find many flexo people on this forum, but I could be wrong. A quick google search turned up the Asahi home page, with a bunch of tech-tip PDF's at the bottom - some of these may be helpful. Otherwise, I'd hope the vendor would be able to supply you the details you need.

Asahi Kasei - Asahi Flexo Plate (AFP™)/photosensitive plates

Good luck! (and if get no help, the Kodak team will gladly support you with our flexo plates too - we now manufacture Flexo at our newly-acquired plant in Japan as well)

Reach out to companies that make devices that will image the plate. Esko would probably be the first place to reach out to.

    Hi Prepressbb,

I can't verify I was using the exact material you are referencing but in the last 12 months I helped a customer do flexo press trials to implement FIRST 4.0 and a G7 calibration (I am a G7 Expert and FTA Implementation Specialist).

Customer is a food packager & we were using water based inks.

The Asahi plates performed very well - it was 'equal best' of the plates we trialled, I felt we could have held 175lpi comfortably. A commercial decision took the customer to a different brand but factors that swung the deal included very high caliber on ground support.

Contact me directly if you want more.

    Regards,

    Dan
