Question Javellin 8800S using Different Plates

Currently running FujiFilm Javellin 8800S Platesetter with FLH125Z Plate Processor. We are using FujiFilm LH-PJ Thermal Digital Plates. We are wanting to explore cheaper plates. What would the Pro's and Con's be of using different brand Plates with our current FujiFilm equipment??

    Hi,
You can use every brand of plates, you want. There is no limitation. This machine is Screen PT-R8800S branded for Fuji. You use one of the best thermal plates in the world. With the same success you can use Kodak XD, IPAGSA Arte-21, Chinese, Vietnamese, what ever plates. You must perform the necessary tests for laser power, drum speed, focus, zoom etc. Please be careful because sometimes cheap plates means bad printing, no batch to batch consistent quality. It is your decision.

    Luck!

Some brands may require special roller sleeves for slippage and all plates must be "seen " by the device in order to load properly and consistently. The LH-PJ is IMHO one of or is the best in the world.
