Can you erase the image's edge when you rub your finger on it?
I am sure you have touched the machine parameters or the Hardware. If you provide the full description of what you have done and what being touched , you might get some help from here. Possible problem with your image: The Laser beam is being away(Low beam intensity) from the Plate and not hitting the right spot on the plate surface (Focus Problem). Align the Laser! This is what you had to do in first place. Do not play with the parameters! Every machine has unique parameters and alignment has to be conducted and parameters have to be generated and entered in MP.You can not use another VXT's Parameters. There are also other possibilities. You have had other issues starting with edge detect and ended up with this and who knows what will be the issue after this. I need to be on site to give you final solutions for all the problems and not limited to this.I am sure this is impossible, so why not calling in a Service Engineer instead of making a mess out of this.
    Hope this will help!

Hi, I have same ctp, and had the same issue some years ago, I solved checking this:
    - clean carefully the spinner prism, and the power measure mirror (on the left side in the drum)
    - clean the developer
    - test another stock of plates (pay attention at the label)
if these 3 easy things don't solve, probably you have to realign the laser and and set up new exposure parameters, for these you should call your technical service.
Check also the focus bar, if you print it, it helps to understand the line conditions.
