plate wear

any idea how to check the cause of plate wearing? we suddenly encountered plate wear even during start up--- we get average of 2000 impressions then plate starts to worn out. only yellow and some magenta is not affected by this short mileage. is this a plate issue, plate processing or something wrong with our press environment? please help... thnx

Just one comment: You need to be specific in your question, what kind of plate Thermal/Violet? What kind of processor? The plate manufacturer?

When you say 'suddenly', new batch of plates?, Roller or Blanket packing change? Something different with the ink? What type of press Sheetfed/Web? What has changed in your pressroom or plateroom lately that could have made this problem suddenly
appear and if you are only getting 2000 impressions it must be something pretty severe.
