Depending on the type of Fiery (external or internal) and the options you have installed, you can preview the pre-ripped file in Acrobat and use Pitstop (an acrobat plugin that comes with the Fiery or options) to edit the color.
Then save the file and print like normal.

Yes, we have the Xerox 700 Fiery EX, Acrobat with Pitstop. I used to run a few Iluminas using Pitstop and iQueue and could adjust CMYK using iQueue.

Create a file that is on 12x18 which is like a 30-40% brownish color. On the right hand side (say this is the cover of a book) write in white text "I hope I don't see this repeating across the page" and then do 100 prints on heavy card. let us know how you get on.

We've finally settled on a Xerox 700 with an instore upgrade to 700i. The unit is due in 2 weeks or so. The RIP is a Freelow Professional edition, there are two over sized high capacity trays, square edge booklet finisher, D4 finisher unit.
