ROFLMAO. I get it from the pressroom too. If they can't figure it out, it must be prepress, even if the pressman says it's the darned press. The manager likes to blame prepress. That's why I love these forums. At least I can cover every possible cause and go through the process of elimination.

I think there is perception that it's easy to fix things in Pre-Press. After all it's software not levers and ink.

I often get told I'm not doing work since I'm in front of a computer instead of binding or printing.... more than a perception for some people.
