Service code SC07-30..Gestetner 5499

Looking for Service manual for the Gestetner 5499...It has a service code of SC07-30...which say it's the (Friction pad motor lock)..I have the service codes, but need to know where the friction pad is. It also says if the sensor's status remains the same after the motor turns for 5 seconds that it could be a defective sensor or a defective motor. Does anyone know which sensor or motor it's talking about??? Or does anyone have the service manual to locate the postion of these two items?

The friction pad is located in the paper feed table below the pick-up and feed roller. It has a motor to adjust its position. There are 2 friction pads, and depending on the paper type selected it determines which pad is used. This mechanism is what's causing your error. I'm not familiar with this device, so I can't tell you how to fix it, but at least you'll know where to start looking. Good luck...
