    To answer your question directly re inkjet press vendors...

    In alpha order, they are -

    Canon/Oce
    HP
    Kodak
    Ricoh (formerly IBM, made by Screen)
    Screen
    Xerox (coming soon)


    There may be a few other players but these are the major ones.

    I just returned from a week at kodak Versamark... I reviewed the Prosper 5000XL. Very impressive and selling off the charts. 175 line screen at 650 ft/min

    Do you happen to know if it can handle variable line screens per document? I work for a check printer and they are looking at the Oce printers. Just curious as to if they handle different line screens per document.
