    Default Question on the KM8000

Can the secondary fusing unit be bypassed from the front end, ie if we had a stock/job that we wanted to look more flat and litho-like than the standard, rather glossy, finish?

As far as I know, this isn't possible. I just ran it by my tech, and after a quick search, he also says it can't be done.

My understanding was it's a engine based - stock selection equation that decides if the second fuser is used....
but please don't hold me to that

I think that only uncoated stocks will bypass the second fusing unit. You could try reducing the heat in the process adjustments for the stock you are running. Although that might cause the toner not to stick to the paper.
