    Default Xante Illumina Digital Press

Anyone using these out there? I was wondering what the pros and cons are to using these.

There have been many posts on this forum about the Illumina from users.
Just do a search for "Xante Illumina" and you will see a bunch that you should find useful!

Okay. Great. Then what's a good digital press that can handle envelopes?

    pmkprog-

I'm sorry if you read any "tone" into my reply. I truly didn't intend any. I just knew that there were multiple discussions already in progress about digital envelope printers.

I think what I have taken from these discussions is that it really depends on what type of customer you wish to serve. The laser printers like Xante and Oki have a higher quality output, operating cost is more expensive and they are a little slower. The inkjet printers, Rena, Astrojet don't have as high quality output, but still sellable to the right customers, lower operating cost and are faster.

We are actually getting one of the Memjet based printers today so that we can test it out and put it through it's paces. We already saw a live demo on it, but now we will have it for a more extended, real-world trial. I will give an update after we have some time on it under our belts.
