Canon 6010 color problem

We have a Canon 6010 for 2 months and we have a problem with colors. Same job printed again it's a different color.
Anyone have the same problem?

This can be happen for various reasons, Calibrations, wear and tear on a machine, were any new parts put in since the job was run, different profiles/options when printed. Did you save it in a hold/print quite and just re print it?
If you could post comparative photos, that would help.

Generally once a day to once a week.

Did you resubmit it from the server or did you resend the job to the printer? Problem might be upstream of your printer.

We've had our 6010 for a year and have not had your problem. We're very rigid on calibration. Every morning around 10-11 am, Our trainer recommended late morning since the machine has been at operation temp for a few hours.

We also do the machine level calibrations before the Rip calibration. It's a 15-20 minute process and worth the time.

We have a 7000VP (pretty similar to the 6010) and we have that issue all the time. These machines are not offset and while you can probably get close, it is very tough to get an exact match in color all the time (from our experience). We calibrate about 2-3 times a day as we find that the color is starting to go off. We have had the machine for 3 years now and we put a fair amount of volume on it. The environment where the machine is makes a huge difference as well. The humidity and temperature need to be controlled. Like one of the other posters commented, wear and tear makes a difference too. Run the wire cleaning and roller cleaning options from the additional functions menu. That helps as well. Do you clean the coronas and dust proof glass? Those need to be kept clean/replaced periodically. If the color is way off and the file has been created exactly the same way, I would call you service tech in and ask him to troubleshoot. Sometimes, it is something in the machine (sensors etc.) that is off and needs to be fixed.

We have calibrated once a week and I think it's not enough. We'll calibrate every day.

We calibrate every time we change paper or
if it's been more then about half a day on the same paper or
if there are any environmental changes or
if any parts are changed on the machine
You can't over calibrate. We are always able to match colors to previous jobs no matter how long its been. It doesn't take that long and saves a ton of time when you have a reorder situation that you have to match colors on.

Not sure this will help, but, when trouble-shooting, I find that sometimes people overlook the simple and obvious and tend to jump straight to the intricate and complicated.

Are you using the EXACT same paper (substrate, finish, manufactuer, etc.) as the first job? All papers have a different "white-point" that will effect you color. For instance, the exact same CMYK "red" will look four different shades on four different papers, even if they have the same paper weight and finish.
