    I feel bad for the environmentalists, they cannot even get wind power right, because it kills birds and is an eyesore...

    Oil rigs and nuclear plants aren't exactly eye candy, and birds in the gulf might welcome turbine blades to navigate around over goo to nest in if given a choice.
    Other avenues leave more birds fully intact, such as deep geothermal, solar, hydro, tidal, etc. Not perfect, but worth investigating.

    Lets face it, there is no "Perfect" solution, everything has a set of problems. In reality it will be use whatever solution has the least number of problems in that particular environment. It won't be a 1 size fits all answer, that's for sure.
