Vector Smart Objects - Normalized pdf
We are getting quite a few CS4 Illustrator files with placed photoshop files that have vector smart object layers referring back to another Illustrator file. Would really like to keep as many vector objects as possible in the Esko normalized pdf file. I know it is convenient for the designer to build it that way, but for production and trapping/overprint changes - not so much. Any workflows out there for better editability?
Thanks

This smart object can only be edited in Photoshop.
If you link a Photoshop whit a smart object in it becomes pixel data.
The best you can do is pull the smartobjet out off Photoshop and place it direct in your Illustrator file.
