Hotfolder RIpped files missing embedded font

I have PDFs from a client that I have been Ripping to the same HotFolder for years- Nexus 8.0 (We're in talks to upgrade now). This year they chose to embed a MultiMaster font. We can NOT get the RIP to recognize the font (missing font error). We've added the MM font to the Font thread folder (Macfont) to no avail. We've tried pointing to a new folder with the font enclosed- all to no effect.

However we can print to the SAME workflow out of Acrobat and the font is found and properly ripped. Anyone know why? Suggestions? This is going to add several hours onto my turn around time If I have to open a print 400 pages. Thanks!
