    Default Normalized PDF to ArtPro

    Hi everyone,

Anyone who has the experience about converting Normalized PDF to Artpro by BackStage?

Some PDF file still extract many cracked images when converting?

    Thanks in advanced!

I experience the same thing regardless of ArtPro version(currently 9.6.3). I believe it has something to do with the compression on the pdf export. I don't see any way around it...would love to know.

If you have PackEdge you can do this by embedding all images and saving a normalized file. Then re-importing the PDF into artpro. We have done this many times with success. Not sure how to do it without PackEdge because like you said the images either split or dont come in at all. Hope this helps.

I am under the impression that the fragmented images are caused by flattening when saving a job with transparencies to PDF 1.3 from some 3rd party applications. Using PDF 1.4 format should avoid the problem. (Please take this with a pinch of salt, though - I have not been able to verify this myself. If someone out there can confirm or debunk this, it would be great.)
