    Default Hot Folder & Nexus

I was creating a workflow in Nexus Manager and ACCIDENTLY made the folder that holds the hotfolders an actual hotfolder. It subsequently "processed" all the other folders and i have no clue HOW to undo my mistake. Got any suggestions?

    Been there before!

Modify the new hotfolder you made in Nexus Manager and choose the correct path. Restart Nexus and it will rebuild all the previous hotfolers in their original locations.

To prevent this from happening in the future you can choose the preferred root of the hotfolders in your nexus manager prefs. Go to preferences - servers - Hotfolders & define your hotfolder path. Preferable outside you nexus application folder. On OSX for instance we take the shared folder from the user directory. Any hotfolder you add from now on will be created in this root folder.

So no Hotfolder lunch for nexus anymore from now on... Saves you a lot of hassle...

Thanks for you help!!!! On a PC when i select a folder, it places the item INSIDE the folder. After almost 6 yrs of doing graphics on a PC, we went to Nexus and the manager part runs on mac so i expected it to place the hotfolder INSIDE the selected folder... instead it made that folder a hotfolder and ate all the other hotfolders. I felt like such an idiot... and for the life of me couldn't figure out how to change it back. For a temporary fix, i made a new folder and created a hotfolder inside so we could work but MAN was that embarrassing!!! Got some great information and was even told how to edit the hotfolder through nexus manager and that fixed the issue. WHEW!!! Thanks again!!
