Default EskoArtwork Sold to New Owner

See the What They Think post:
EskoArtwork ownership changes - Printing Industry News from WhatTheyThink

What does this mean to Esko software users? Probably very little in the short term and hard to tell long term. But will Esko keep the digital imager business or sell it off? Will they keep the CAD/cutting table business or sell it off? Will their Danish CEO in Belgium who was a puppet of the Axcel investment group (that just sold the company) stay or go? Will the guy they hired in Ohio within the last couple of years that had absolutely no print industry experience and runs their U.S. business stay or go? Stay tuned!

Maybe it will be a good thing. Maybe some new eyes on this company will make the necessary changes to assure good customer focus. Having an investment group like Axcel running a software company is not a good thing. Then the bottom line takes precedence over the everything else. Not that making money isn't important, but if that is the driving focus behind the day to day operation of a company, services and "non-essentials" are eliminated to save money, usually at the customer's expense.

More to come. What is your opinion? I would be interested!
