    Default Imposing in Illustrator

Illustrator Actions can be used to make repeatable impositions including distortion. We have made hundreds of templates using the Actions palette, including nested and staggered impositions. One can use custom bearers. I have included a few demo files for those that are interested. Included are a nested imposition file for both Illustrator CS2-4 and Illustrator 5 - they are labeled as such. The .aia file is the action and it and the NESTED ART TO USE file are good for CS2-5.

    1. Load action into Actions Palette
    2. Open the file labeled NESTED ART TO USE and copy art to clipboard
    3. Open the appropriate IL version DEMO_NEST_SPEC_72T file for the version of IL you are using.
    4. Run the action and watch the "magic.

Actions, as long as they have a extension of .aia can be used in both Mac and Windows versions of Illustrator.

I have noticed using this method with the command K and entering you distance has some bugs with special gaps for example you have a 2.5 x 2.5 and you have a stepping distance with .16666 gaps around it won't step them exact. It seems to be fine if the gaps are .125 or .25.
    Any suggestions
