Default Another path problem in ArtPro 9

Occasionally ArtPro 9 files exported to Illustrator open up with multiple paths on top of each other when there is only one path in the .ap file.
These are die and blanket cutting files and it is time-consuming selecting and deleting these unnecessary paths. Turning the paths into Live Paint doesn't fix it either.
    What are we doing wrong??!!

I don't know what file format you use now when you export from AP.
But soon, very soon Esko will have a new plugin for AI that imports Normalized PDF's in a very nice way.

Do your lines have a stroke in ArtPro? Export them without any strokes.

Do the exported objects contain any color? Maybe multiple non process inks?

What software are you using for the die/blankets? ArtiosCad? Use the export Cad option. You can also define ArtiosCad line types from a certain ArtPro version.
