Default Check for total ink question

I've been testing a Pitstop Action (using Pitstop Pro 9) to detect if any elements in a PDF is above 240% total ink. It does work but also flags "hidden" items in the PDF. Let say I have a small box built with 100c 100m 60k (260 total ink) and I place a bigger 100c box on top of it (knocking-out the other box) the Action will detect the hidden small box even though we agree it should't print. So my question is: can I tweek my Pitstop action so it detects the same above ink limit areas as my eyes would using the Adobe "ink limit" preview?

You want to calculate the effective ink density. Not sure if it's in PitStop 9 but it is in 10.

Will look for that. Thanks Matt!
