That is cool but 6500 for software for one app? Don't you still have Neo under your hood?

Goodness... $6400 seems a bit strong for trapping software unless there is some special use I don't see. What value does this bring to the table?

With this new addition to the EskoArtwork line of options, EskoArtwork has now expanded it's offerings and freedom of choice for customers and their Ai trapping needs. The automatic trapper looks at all visible layers in Ai, analyses and traps per your settings. Like the TrapX plugin, PowerTrapper for Ai offers those who use Ai for the bulk of their work the opportunity for fully automatic trapping of their files in Ai as Ai files, (the original artwork layers are not touched as a new trap layers are created), and then, (because the trap lines are pure Ai vector objects), these files may be used or exported to any workflow or output.

The advantages of PowerTrapper for Ai begin with being able to have the full power of what was previously only available via our server-based trapping plugin for Ai (TrapX) without having to invest in a separate Windows-based server (in most cases the price of this plugin alone, if not more). So this works great for shops where you'd like to trap files in Ai, but on a limited amount of workstations, and without an EskoArtwork server. Of course the advantages of automatic trapping within Ai with fully editable traps as opposed to in-rip traps are huge.

Yes, EskoArtwork does have other options.

TrapX for Ai - Server based trapping solution for trapping within Ai. It offers the same functionality of the PowerTrapper but the actual trapping is off-loaded to a server, and all trap configurations saved on the server and available to all users. Great for multi-user environments, or if you have a BackStage, or if you want to take advantage of the network licensing and shared trapping tickets.

Instant Trapper (iTrap) - Plugin for Ai. Trapping becomes a matter of clicking the 2 elements you want to trap that then conform the basic settings you have defined. Interactive trapping.

Trapping in Neo - Neo is a Mac-based PDF editor that has an interactive trapping solution. This is a standalone application and a full functioned PDF editor (any PDF).

EskoArtwork also has trapping in it's workflow products (Odystar, BackStage, Nexus) and within it's other products like ArtPro, PackEdge, and Plato.

It's all a matter of what works best for your needs.
As far as Return on Investment (ROI), the time savings are great. We can work out yours with you, or try it yourself with the free download and trial available here: Download free trial DeskPack, Studio and Visualizer Software
