Is there a difference in the accuracy of image size and placement between
8 bit and 1 bit files?

We are getting a slight error in size when we send grayscale or cMYK files, while 1 bit tiff are perfect. I suspect that there is a difference in the number of decimal places of either the
bounding box or x,y position or perhaps both.

We see the same issue sending files from InDesign, Quark Illustrator and even Preps.
