hi there the diameters are fine,i've 3 new dampers in recently and had the roller manufacturers double check the diameters.its defo something to with that, cause when i run a dry solid there no problems?very strange.i read on a forum that with dds systems theres a point where the damper releases from the plate causing not enough damp to plate?
    thats for the reply.Gav

Verify your stripe to the oscillator is bigger then to the plate. Maybe 5 mm to the oscillator and 4 to the plate. DDS water rollers depending on the manufacture tend to need replacing almost yearly. Going less then 4 mm might decrease the mark but will increase problems with hickeys. Does your press allow you to oscillate the form rollers?

copy questions. is this a printmaster gto 52 or a pm52 like a sm52. or another way is it dds or alcolor? if it is dds then is the mark about 7 inches from the lead edge. do you have a ref/rec unit. lower the temp and add alcohol. if it goes away then welcome to dds. almost all rollers are between 2 and 2.5 inches. this puts your repeat between 6 - 7.5. marks around 4-5 inches could be transfer issues. but I doubt you would have transfer issues on all four units. I would try lessening the pressure on bridge roller to 3mm and see if it gets better or worse.
